The first spot on this list that is meaningful to the author is Charleston, where he proposed to his wife-to-be almost twenty years ago. The Battery in the moonlight make for a perfect romantic spot in that city.
The second meaningful spot is Napa Valley, where we honeymooned about a year later. Combined with excursions to the Bay area and Monterrey, that area of the country has traditionally be a very romantic location.
